I have to admit, I am not a lover of cooking things.
Although I am a lover of eating food … I am not a fan of spending time preparing meals let alone cooking them. I am the kind of woman that can literally eat the same thing, day in and day out, with little issue about the monotony of my nutrition.
I also have to admit, that I am someone that likes to practice what I preach. I want to set an example for those that trust me with their fitness and health journey. It only makes sense to walk my talk.
With that said, I am putting my money where my mouth is and getting my ass in the kitchen to cook more! Eric isn’t mad at that one bit … although I know he’s a little nervous to find out if the recipes that I find will be edible or not…
To start I chose a few recipes that look delicious to me (and were easy to make) and tried my hand in the kitchen preparing them. Below you can find links to the the recipes along with my opinion about them.
Back when I made these meals I was laid up with an injury. I gave Eric a list of ingredients to purchase (I still couldn’t walk for long periods of time), so he did. He came back with most of what I asked for … and I got started in the kitchen!
- Peaches and Cream Omelette
- Quinoa, Apple and Walnut Salad with Turkey Sausage and Spicy Apple Vinaigrette
- Texas Thin Crust Pizza
- Coconut Cauliflower Mash
I hope that you step out of your comfort zones and give one of these recipes a try! If you decide to try these recipes, I would love to have you share your experience and opinion!
Bon appetite y’all!
